Men are disturbed not by things, but by the views which they take of things.

Sick – and what can coaching do for me here?
Coaching has long been established in a professional context. When we think of an illness, we rightly think first of medical or therapeutic treatment.
But what about the fear of relapse, constant exhaustion or lost confidence in one's own body?
And with the question: Who will I be with this disease in five years – and how can I still live a self-determined life then?
If there is no effective therapy for my disease, what can I hope for?
With such questions and other challenges of an illness, Health & Medical Coaching can be a valuable support.
Body, thoughts and emotions influence each other.
How we experience a situation – whether we feel at the mercy of it or recognize our own options for action – can have an impact on our mental and physical well-being.
Especially in the case of an illness that we cannot control, the experience of powerlessness can become an additional burden.
Epigenetics shows that experience and environmental conditions can influence how our genes are regulated. Psychosocial stress can also be associated with changes in epigenetic processes.
It is also well documented that persistent stress can affect our health and exacerbate existing complaints and pain.
Certain mindfulness-based, psychological, and body-oriented procedures can help manage stress and relieve pain.
The interplay of body, thoughts and emotions is an important starting point for my work in Health & Medical Coaching.
Using targeted methods tailored to the individual situation, I work holistically with my clients on the issues that concern them in dealing with their illness.
The aim is to rediscover stability and emotional balance, to question obstructive beliefs and to open up new perspectives and scope for action.
It's about changes that can have a positive impact on the quality of life.
One thing is clear, however: Health & Medical Coaching does not replace medical or therapeutic treatment. It complements them.
